WOOF! 8-0 Baby!!!

Anaheim, Calif. (DP) --I just got back from the John Wooden Classic at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim with free tickets I won The National Bar and Grill across the street from Edison Fie....Angel's Stadium At anaheim...crap I don't know what the fuck they call it now, it's always been The Halo. Anyways, I got the tickets from a couple that won them in a trivia game at the bar and they couldn't make the game.
You might as well call the New Mexico Lobos the New Mexico Bricklayers because that's all they shot in the first half. Even if the rim was enlarged four times it's normal size the Lobos...sorry...Bricklayers still would not have been able to make a basket.
You've got to give credit to the Huskies for not only an amazing smothering Defense. However, I'm wondering if they should get credit for intimidating the Bricklayers into playing so poorly. It just seemed that part of the reason New Mexico did so poorly was that they were mentally not in the game.
That all changed during half time because New Mexico Coach Richie McCay must have torn the Bricklayers a new asshole as the team transformed from a team that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn into a team that just about negated all of the Huskies strengths in the second half. They narrowed the gap from as many as twenty points to one point but could never take the lead.
If the Huskies don't crack the top ten from their first half performane alone, then the rating system is simply flawed.
Also, if the organizers of the event want to make this a Great Classic have the winners of each game play each other the next day. I was talking to a bunch of Nevada Wolfpack fans (UCLA and Nevada played each other in the the second game of the double header today) and they shared the same view as I did. I would have paid money to see UCLA and the Huskies square off with one another even though they will this season.
